Pervert separatists now question SC wisdom

Early Times Report
jammu, Aug 18: Separatists have now questioned the wisdom the Supreme Court-the highest court of the country- in directing State Government to construct road to Amarnath holy cave before snow fall.
Addressing Friday congregation at Srinagar, Hurriyat Conference Chairman and separatists leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said the SC direction is fraught with dangerous environmental consequences.
"..It would result in melting of glaciers and could trigger ecological disaster in the environmentally sensitive region," said Mirwaiz.
The separatists leader by making this statement has questioned the wisdom and opinion of the apex court of the country whose judgments are not only upheld by every authority of the country but even made as reference in many neighbouring countries.
It has exposed the true face to Kashmiri separatists of their opposition to the yatra.
Separatists and a section supporting them- have never ever welcomed the yatris though they welcome the tourist. This section with this mindset set the state on fire during 2008 Amarnath land row and is trying to do same when about 6 lakh yatris had visited the shrine this year-which is to the discomfort of this section.
Bereft of logic this section is now telling SC the affect of ecologically disaster. The apex had given direction after studying the pros and cons of it and after analyzing them have given this direction.
The important point is however, that for the construction of Mughal road and for Sinthan road- a demand more from Kashmir valley than Jammu region- lakhs of trees were felled. Not only that the construction of Mughal road endangered rare species including Marakhor- a special kind of goat- found along Peer-ki-Gali.
But then nothing was spoken about ecological disaster. The state government got it cleared by the apex environmental committee and got it sanctioned under Prime Minister Reconstruction Programme.
Even for Sinthan pass-connecting Kishtwar with Kashmir- same was done. But then no separatists dare say anything. As both these roads fit into their plan of "Greater Kashmir," for which they have been planning hard.
But now with SC putting down its feet and they can't escape it now they are questioning its wisdom thus questioning the very Constitutional integration with India.
