NSF protests against SSRB for not releasing select lists of Jammu division | 26500 posts of teachers vacant | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 19 : The National Secular Forum (NSF) today staged a protest demonstration in University Campus near Central Library against the failure of the government to sop up the selected candidates for the various posts of Jammu even after a tumble of almost two year. Addressing the media person here today, Dr Vikas Sharma strongly flayed the SSRB for not releasing the select lists of various posts of Jammu region referred to it during the last two years for recruitment. He said that even with the process of interviews having been completed more than 20 months back, the select lists have randomly and wrongfully been withheld with respect to various districts of Jammu region. He questioned in particular the undue delay in the release of lists of Draftsmen, Accounts Assistants, JSA, SA and teachers whose interviews were conducted in 2010-11. He said that unemployed youth of various districts of Jammu region had rightly been agitating against the unexplainable delay in publication of lists by SSRB as their counterparts in Kashmir region had even joined the services pursuant to the release of the select lists of valley districts. He regretted that neither the state government nor the SSRB had bothered to tackle the issue resulting in near total paralysis of the academic institutions in the state. Dr Sharma further demanded filling up the vacancies of members of Public Service Commission which were lying vacant for the last two years. He said vacancies in PSC had negatively affected the pace of selections besides accord of DPC clearances in respect of various services. Among those who were present in the protest included Ravi Choudhary, Sukdev Singh, Sunil Kumar, Balveer Kumar, Narinder Singh, Vimal Singh, PP Singh, Ankit Raina and others. |
