Pak Army modifies militants ingress plan in Jammu & Kashmir | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 19: Top Army functionaries in Pakistan with the help of the ISI experts are said to have assisted groups of militants in reaching the zero line of the IB in the Jammu sector and the LOC for carving out infiltration passage for the rebels to cross into Jammu and Kashmir. Police sources said that initially the Pakistani Rangers and the troops had conceived the plan of pushing militants in fours and fives into Jammu and Kashmir but the plan had to be altered and modified after number of ingress bids were foiled by the Indian troops and following the detection of the underground tunnel in the Samba sector. Under the modified plan the militant groups, equipped with sophisticated weapons, have been assigned with the task of targeting the security pickets and posts on this side of the border with gunfire so that under the confusion of exchange of fire terrorists managed to sneak into the Indian territory. Sources said that this is the reason for repeated border ceasefire violations by the Pakistani troops and the Pak aided terrorists. The official agencies believe that by leaving the job of violating the border ceasefire to militants Islamabad could absolve itself of any responsibility for these violations. Of late these agencies have started telling that the security pickets on this side of the border had been targeted by militants and not by the Pakistani troops or Rangers. This plan has been conceived to enable Islamabad to prevent New Delhi from choking the channels of the process of dialogue. In the context of this development the Indian troops, guarding the LOC, and the BSF deployed on the IB have been instructed to upgrade the security grid and introduce all possible measures to silence the Pak gunners and check infiltration of militants. |
