| YAIKS delegation presents memorandum to Governor | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Aug 20 : A large delegation of the Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj called on N. N. Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan here today and presented to him a memorandum of their demands.
The demands presented by the delegation led by R. K. Bhat, President, Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj, included, interalia, implementation of the Prime Minister's Employment Package for the Kashmiri migrants.
The delegation urged that the selection against 800 de-reserved posts be made by the SSRB out of the previous merit list and that these posts should not be advertised afresh.
To date implementation status of the various elements of the Prime Minister's Package for the Kashmiri migrants was also discussed in the meeting.
The Governor gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured that he would address the Chief Minister regarding the demands projected in the memorandum. |
