| Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha holds sammelan | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 20 : A day long open sammelan of Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha was held outside Bhagwan Parshuram Bhawan, Parade Ground, Jammu.
The sammelan was held under the presidium of messers of PP Sharma (Retd. Principal Chief Conservator of Forests), PR Sharma (Retd. Supdt. of Police) KK Proch (Retd. Session Judge), Dev Raj Baru (ex-President, Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha), Inderjee Khajuria (ex-Chief Advisor Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha), Om Parkash Shrikul (President Dehati Brahmin Sabha), Ram Pal Shastri (President Dogra Shastri Pujari Sangh) and Jagannath Sharma (A renowned businessman).
The venue was scheduled inside of Bhagwan Parshuram Hall but some miscreants locked the doors of Main Gate of the Sabha.
As the Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha was a headless body after the resignation of previous Executive Committee on May 12, 2012. It is still a mystry on who's direction the main enterance was locked?
The delgates in hundreds from every nook and corner of Jammu division attended the sammelan and with one voice condemned the heinous act of some vested interests who were bent upon to disrupt the proceedings of sammelan through hired goons which was brought in to the notice of administration present on spot. The meeting further criticised the some neglected elements who are misleading the Brahmin fraternity in the name of so called elections.
The meeting unanimously decided to form a 51- members Adhoc Committee of pominent members of Brahmin Samaj giving representation to all tehsil and blocks of Jammu division.
The said Committee will ensure the formation of a valid constitution of Sabha and will hold fair and free election within one year. |
