| High Court issues recommendations in corruption and sexual abuse case | | | Srinagar, February 06
Justice Mr. Bashir Ahmad Kirmani of High Court of Jammu and Kashmir while disposing off the writ petition of Feroz Ahmad v/s State and others has observed that charges of corruption and sexual abuses against the ASI (M) Feroz Ahmad have been established,
The Court recommends that ASI (M) the then incharge deployment APCR lady contingent may be reduced to a lower rank of HC (M) for a period of 3 years and the charge of deployment of lady police contingent should remain under the control of lady gazetted officer at PCR and no key assignment should be given to ASI (M) having dealing with lady contingent,
The Court also orders that a copy of this order alongwith enquiry report be communicated to SSP crime branch, Srinagar with the direction to take cognizance of incriminating statements found in it. The DGP of the State and authorities of IRCON shall render requisite aid to the crime branch to facilitate investigation,
The first report be submitted to Chief Judicial Magistrate, Srinagar by 28th February, 2007.
