At last police lodges FIR against SSP's daughter | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 20: Finally police lodged case against the daughter of SSP PCR Vijay Kumar at Gandhi Nagar Police Station here today, sources said who allegedly was involved in 'hit and run' case. A senior most officer of police giving information on anonymity said that SSP's daughter identified as Shivalka Bharti has been booked under section 279,304 A RPC against FIR NO 224 at Police Station Gandhinagar. He, at the same time admitted that the accused yet has not been arrested. Police official further added that the girl infact is not possessing a valid driving license as she is just 14 years old. "The car with which accident took place was also identified," sources claimed. Sources said that in a bid to save daughter of SSP police registered case FIR No. 224 against unidentified driver and car and it was after strong protest demonstration by relatives of the deceased who blocked Bantalab Chinor road few days ago. Meanwhile it is also alleged earlier to tamper the evidence police allegedly imported an unidentified car from Punjab to distract the case. Following the protest by the agitated members, the investigation was transferred to SDPO Gandhi Nagar from SHO Gandhi Nagar by SSP Jammu Prabhat Singh and DC Jammu Sanjeev Verma who had pacified protestors and assured impartial probe into the matter. Pertinent to mention here that Lalita Raina wife of retired ASI Bhushan Lal Raina who was putting up in Police quarters, on Thursday last while she was on an evening walk in Gulshan Ground with her husband and son when the Santro car hit her. She was later taken to the GMC hospital where doctors declared her as brought dead. |
