| Councilors call on CEC, LAHDC, apprises him telecom, POL problems | | | Early Times Reoport
LEH, Aug 21 : Councilor Diskit Tsewang Rigzin and Councilor Igoo Tashi Nurboo today called on with Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC Rigzin Spalbar and apprised him about the problems being confronted by the people of their respective areas.
They appealed to address the problem of telecommunication as BSNL telecommunication services is non functional for some times. They also asked to address the chaotic management at petrol pumps and demanded to take up the issue with the higher authorities of the concerned oil companies on immediate grounds considering major inconveniences being caused to the public and tourists.The CEC gave patient hearing to the councilors and assured that their issues would be taken up with the concerned for the early redressal.Later, the councilors also met with the TDM, BSNL Phuntsog Dorjey to get acquit about the frequent failures of telecom service.Clarifying his position, the TDM said that the OFC has got cut at 3-4 places in the last few days between Kargil and Leh which are the main reasons of telecom service failure., adding that it would be restore within 2-3 days as the team in coordination with army is working at warfooting. |
