| MLA dedicates renovated lanes, drains to public | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 21 : BJP MLA from Jammu East Constituency Ashok Khajuria inaugurated the recently completed work of fixing tiles and construction of drain in Raghunath Kucha of Kachi Chawni area. A large number of party activists, officials of JMC and local residents were present on the occasion. While speaking on the occasion, Ashok Khajuria said that the heavy rains have caused loss to hundred of families in Qasim Nagar, Gujjar Nagar, Peerkho, Company Bagh, Lajpat Nagar, Rajinder Nagar and other areas of old city as their houses have been badly damaged. The families living in custodian houses too have suffered losses. In these areas houses of many family have even dashed to ground, thus leaving them to live under open sky. Ashok Khajuria said that the government should immediately depute teams of access the losses and pay full compensation to the affected families to reconstruct their houses. He also demanded that the poor families, particularly those dependent on daily earning, should be given full ration and other essential items. BJP State Secretary Yudhvir Sethi, Distt. President Rajesh Gupta and a number of other leaders including Shiv Kumar Gupta, Kuldeep Kandhari, Ram Prasad, Ramesh Sharma and Manumanav Mahajan accompanied the MLA during the event. |
