| Environment Deptt observes "Van Mahotsav" | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 21: The Department of Environment and Remote Sensing Jammu organised Van Mahatsov Celebration at Environment and Wildlife Awareness Park today.
The Chief Guest of the occasion Gulzar Singh Slathia, Inspector General of Police planted a tree sapling followed by the local inhabitants and school children from Government Girls High School Janipur also planted tree saplings.
The Guest of Honour VK Raina, Regional Director, Department of Environment and Remote Sensing, Johny Williams, DIG Armed Phunsog, DIG SS Sharma and other police officers and jawans too planted saplings to mark the festivity.
Over 3500 tree saplings are being planted in the park this season to intensify the green cover in the area. |
