GDC holds plantation drive

KATHUA, Aug 21: NSS volunteers of Government Degree College, Kathua panted saplings of different species of plants in the college campus here today.
About 200 saplings of Aristonia, Kesia Glaca, Kesia, Semia, Neem, Amla and Tali were planted by the students.
Principal of the college Dr. Netar Singh launched the plantation drive by planting a sapling in the campus. He appreciated the role of NSS volunteers for organizing such a plantation drive and thus helping in the beautification of the college and also making it free from environmental pollution.
He also stressed the volunteers for taking care of the plants planted by them at least during the time they will remain in the campus for their study period of three years.
