| Madan demands relief for flash flood victims | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Aug 21: Member of Parliament Madan Lal Sharma expressed his concern over the losses caused by heavy rains and flash floods in Rajouri, Poonch, Jammu and Samba districts.
He asked the Deputy Commissioners of the concerned districts to assess the loss to the property and crops of the people and provide them with relief suitably.
He also cautioned the people to be aware of flash floods and advised them not to go river side.
Madan also observed that unscheduled powers cuts are being reported from various parts of the affected areas and people are facing great difficulties because of the power cuts and scarcity of drinking water. He asks the administration to take immediate corrective measures to restore basic amenities without which people are unable to carry their day to day routine. |
