| HC transfers three petitions from Srinagar to Jammu | | Cross-voting in MLC elections | | early times report
Jammu, Aug 21 (JNF) : In a transfer petitions filed by filed by Jugal Kishore MLA Nagrota and leader of BJP in Assembly and Ashok
Khajuria MLA East seeking transfer of three petitions filed by MLA Prof Gharu Ram and Ors Vs State & Ors, MLA Jagdish Sapolia & Ors and MLA Baldev Raj pending in the Srinagar Wing of the High Court to the Jammu Wing of the High Court.
Chief Justice MM Kumar of J&K High Court after gone through the transfer petition observed that at the initial stage, it is stated that petitions were filed at Srinagar Wing of the State High Court, although the matter pertains to Jammu Wing of High Court. Jugal Kishore and Ashok Khajuria who have filed the petition, are MLAs from Nagrota and Jammu East Assembly Constituencies. Chief Justice MM Kumar after hearing Sr. Adv KS Johal with Adv Amit Gupta appearing for the transfer petition further observed that in the objections filed it is conceded that matter be transferred to Jammu Wing of the State High Court and allowed the application and all the three petitions pending in the Srinagar Wing of the High Court are ordered to be transferred to Jammu Wing of the State High Court. |
