Bank employees hold protest in favour of demands | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 21: Jammu Province Bank Employees/Officers Federation today held a massive protest/demonstration under the banner of United Forum of Bank Unions here near Press Club. While addressing the massive gathering Com. Arun Kumar Gupta, General Secretary, Jammu Province Bank Employees Federation highlighted the core issues and demands for which the entire working force of the country has practically become receptive. The Federation demanded to stop banking sector reforms, stop banking laws (amendment) bill, stop closure of rural branches, stop outsourcing of bank jobs, settle pending demands, stop arbitrary guidelines on HR issues, stop unilateral implementation of Khandelwal Committee recommendations He said that banks in India today have nearly Rs 60000 lakh corers as deposits representing the hard earned savings of the people of our country hence Banking institutions have to be properly regulated. The demonstration was attended by bank employees representing of all the public, private and Co-operative Sector banks in Jammu. Those who addressed the demonstration included Com. Vijay Zutshi, Com.
