| PDP levels corruption charges against Cong Minister | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Aug 23: People's Democratic Party leaders in border district Rajouri have leveled serious corruption allegations against MLA Rajouri and Minister of State Shabir Ahmed Khan in a joint press conference addressed by Party leaders on Thursday.
While addressing press conference, senior PDP leader Qamer Hussain Chowdhary threatened to launch an agitation against the minister if inquiry is not initiated against Shabir Khan.
Flanked by senior party leaders Ch Hussain Ali Wafa and Party district
president Abdul Qayoom Dar, Advocate Qamar Chowdhary alleged that present ARTO in Rajouri has managed posting from the said minister by paying Rs 1.5 lakh and the said officer is collecting it from the bus drivers and other traffic operators without any hesitation .
He said not only this, the Minister charges his share on weekly basis from all officers.
Giving example of recent scam in CAPD Rajouri which involved several crores, Qamer Chowdhary said that known blue eyed officers of the minister were involved in this scam.
Present in the press conference, other senior party leaders Hussain Ali Wafa and district president Abdul Qayoom Dar also said that government has miserably failed on all fronts and corruption was at its peak in the district. |
