| JMC conducts anti-encroachment drive | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 23: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) while further continuing and intensifying its action encroachments, the Enforcement wing of the Corporation today conducted a drive to clear the footpaths / pavements, parts of road sides in the areas of Kachi Chawni, Dhounthly, Pacca Danga and Rani Park. During the drive the Enforcement staff led by Chief Enforcement Officer seized materials goods/ articles like Gas Cylinders, Rehries, Counters, Bundles of Map, Lady Suits, Drums, Stands, Bags of Coconuts, Stools, Sign boards etc. which were kept by the shopkeepers by encroaching upon footpaths / pavements in these areas causing inconvenience to the pedestrians and also creating obstruction in the free movements of vehicular traffic.
The drive was conducted under instructions from JMC Commissioner K L Khajuria and carried out with the help of Police. |
