| Chhari Mubarak reaches Machail, over 2 lakh perform darshan | | Annual Machail Yatra | | Asif Iqbal Naik
Kishtwar, Aug 23: The Chhari Mubarak of Annual Machail Yatra reached Mata Chandi temple at Machail amid heavy rush as over 2 lakh yatries performed darshan at the temple till last night. As per the official data given by the Kishtwar police, two lakh four hundred pilgrims returned to Kishtwar after offering darshan till Wednesday evening and over 30000 were on their way.
As soon as the Chhari Mubarak reached Machail, thousands of pilgrims started singing traditional Bajans to welcome the Chhari. The Chhari will stay at Machail Temple for two days and after two days performing religious rituals the Chhari will leave for Gulabgarh Padder on 25th of August and finally the yatra will culminate on 27th of August 2012.
Meanwhile several pilgrims lambasted the administration for poor facilities and demanded better facilities.
It is worth to mention here that this year the remarkable rush and pilgrims from other states too were seen visitng while some foreign tourists too were seen enjoying the religious functions at the shrine. People of the majority community accorded warm welcome to Chari Yatra which enshrines the communal harmony and brotherhood which has not been vitiated in Kishtwar despite several odds. |
