| Mubarak Mandi girls win U-19 Kho-Kho final | | Inter-school competitions of Jammu Zone | | early times report
JAMMU, Aug 23: Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Mubarak Mandi bagged under-19 girls kho-kho trophy in the inter-school competitions of Jammu zone, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at GHSS Bakshi Nagar, here today.
In the final, played day, GHSS Mubarak Mandi girls defeated GHSS Canal Road by an innings and three points. Earlier, in the semifinals, GHSS Mubarak Mandi got walkover while GHSS Canal Road beat host GHSS Bakshi Nagar 8-7 in a close contest.
VOLLEYBALL: Meanwhile, in girls'under-19 volleyball final, played today, KC Public School trounced equally good GHSS Mubarak Mandi by two sets to one.
KABADDI: The girls' under-19 kabaddi title went to Government Girls HSS Nowabad. In the final, Nowabad outplayed Government HSS Mubarak Mandi by a comfortable margin of 19 pts.
In the finals, Principal of host Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Bakshi Nagar, Sarita Anand was special guest, who complimented the winners and wished them success in the upcoming inter-zonal competitions of Jammu district. This competition held under the supervision of Zonal Physical Education Officer Jammu, Ram Kumar Sharma. |
