| J-K promulgates ordinance for using water usage charges | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Aug 24: Jammu and Kashmir government has promulgated an ordinance for creating a separate fund with the aim of buying back the power projects from NHPC and earmark finances for establishment of power and irrigation projects in the state.
The ordinance, issued by the Law Department, has made amendments to Section 185 of the J&K Water Resources Act-2010 for constitution of a fund for utilisation of water usage charges under a proper account head, an official spokesman said today. |
