To discuss its future course of action against the alleged mismanagement of Jay Prakash Industries, contractors for the Dul Hasti Hydel Project, J.P Union Workers held a meeting here today and demanded that local youth should be absorbed in the up coming power projects like Pukal, Bursa and Karthie, which fall under the jurisdiction of newly constituted Kishtwar district..
The workers unanimously resolved to strengthen the Union and appealed the Chief Minister not to sanction any power project in favor of JP Industries before the technical verification of Dul Hasti tunnel, a part of which collapsed last week, resulting into the death of two labourers.
They also decided that no body from out side will be allowed in these project before the absorption of local youths in these projects .The question of absorption of outsiders should be considered only when suitable candidates are available locally, the meeting said.
