| SPMR Commerce College organizes seminar on Career option | | | early times report
Jammu, Aug 24: Dept of Computer Sciences, Career counseling cell of S.P.M.R Commerce College, organized a Seminar on Career option In I.T today in the college premises, in collaboration with NIIT Jammu. More than two hundred students Participated in the test. Speaking on the occasion Principal of the colleges Dr Jagdish Lal Bhagat said that the provision of a high-quality learning for an increasingly diverse student population is both a challenge and an opportunity for our higher education institutions. Actively engaging students in the learning process will ensure that they hone the transferable skills that will equip them for the lifelong learning that the rapidly changing needs of the modern global economy demands. Innovative pedagogies and new technologies will foster this active engagement, and teachers have an important part to play in ensuring that these provide an excellent learning experience for today's student. He also appreciated the literary effort done by the Principal and teachers and lauded the work done by the college that has grown in stature and strength and has become one of the finest college dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge and.He also appreciated the efforts of BCA department especially its H.O.D Prof. Parveen Singh for taking such initiatives. Speaking on the occasion Prof Parveen Singh said that in coming time department is planning a mock interview and a placement drive so that maximum students can be placed in the industry.. Speaking on the occasion expert from NIIT threw light on the upcoming technologies and their scope in the market and how learning these technogies widen their scope Prof Anil Sharma,Prof Bhatt, Prof Tikoo,Prof Pawan,Prof Parshotam were also present on the occassion.Prof Namita Singh compeered the program.Prof Parveen singh and Prof Parshotam Singh CO-ordinated the whole program |
