VC JU visits Botany Department

Jammu, Aug 24: Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, Vice Chancellor in his resolve to visit the teaching Departments for a closer look on their activities and the set up today visited Botany Department. Prof Ishar was given an in-depth presentation of the activities, ongoing research projects, achievements, collaborative programmes led in the Botany Department by Prof Geeta Sumbli, Head of Department. The presentation was followed by interaction of faculty members with the Vice-Chancellor. Prof Ishar encouraged and motivated the faculty to take up new research projects and continue teaching with more vigour.Prof Ishar further visited various research laboratories of the Department and had an interaction with the students.Prof Ishar also underlined the need of maintenance of new building and sophisticated facilities Prof Rekha Chaudhary, Dean Research Studies,Prof. Anima Langer, DeanFaculty of Life Sciences, Prof Naresh Padha, Registrar, Jaikumar Sharma, OSD to Vice-Chancellor, Faculty and other officials were also present on the occasion.
