| Abducted lady rescued, kidnapper held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Aug 24: Ramban Police achieved a success when it arrested one person and recovered a kidnapped lady from Tangmarg of District Baramulla who was abducted from Danmasta area of District Ramban two weeks ago.
Police reports said that on August 14, a written application was lodged at Police Station Ramsoo that one lady namely Maniha Devi (Name Changed) (20) R/o Tehsil Banihal was kidnapped by one Imtyaz Ahmed Wani (23) S/o Mohd Amin R/o Allanbass, Tehsil Banihal of District Ramban on 11-08-2012.
"A case FIR No. 51/2012 U/S 366/376 RPC was registered at Police Station Ramsoo, police spokesperson said adding, "a team was constituted which carried out searches in and around the jurisdiction of District Ramban."
Police said that following a specific input regarding the presence of accused in Tangmarg area of, District Baramulla. Ramban Police immediately swung into action and rushed to the spot in district Baramulla and recovered the kidnapped lady from the clutches of accused namely Imtyaz Ahmed Wani who tried utmost to give slip to police party. The kidnapped lady and the accused were brought back to Police Station Ramsoo. Investigation into the case is in progress. |
