NSUI-JKNYC protest against arrest of PYC Leaders

Jammu, Aug 24: Large number of National Students Union of India (NSUI) and JKNYC staged protest against the Deputy Commissioner Kashmir and other government officials who were responsible for the arrest of Pradesh Youth Congress leaders in summer capital today.
Early today morning NSUI activists assembled near Central Library of Jammu University and amid sloganeering against Deputy Commissioner of Kashmir, they demanded action against those involved in harassing the peaceful campaign of Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) leaders demanding empowering the Panchyat Raj in state.
Speaking on the occasion State President NSUI Uday Chib alleged that Deputy Commissioner of Srinager and some other government officials is crushing the peaceful movement of Pradesh Youth Congress for incorporating 73rd and 74th amendment in the J&K Panchayat Raj Act.
Meanwhile, Ajay kumar State Gen Secy and Varun Singh V P Jammu University also criticized this whole step of arresting of PYC leaders and said this is the direct attack on the Fundamental Rights and Freedom of the people and total misuse of power by government officials.
Siddharth Pathania state Gen Secy, Ajay Kumar State Gen Secy, Varun Singh VP Jammu Univ, Ramansh Billawaria, Aman Thapa, Sunny Parihar and others also spoke on the occasion
In a similar protest JKNYC continued wsith its chain protest today entered in Poonch and staged protest demonstration and protest march in the Surankote Bazaar to express solidarity with Panches and Sarpanches and to project others demands.
In his address State Joint Secretary, Sayed Bakar Ali Jaffri said after the 2010 on rest in Kashmir J&k Govt adjusted these 8000 youth in various Govt. Departments as a supporting staff but now government is treating these youths strep motherly. "The J&K youth shall not accept this treatment at any cost, he said.
He alleged that the J&K govt only doles verbal assurances without sensing the vulnerability of youths to clutches of anti social forces.
Dr Mumtaz Hussain Bukhari, Distt Media Secretary Saika Nousheen, NYC Distt President Sikander Nourani highlighted the injustice of govt with NYC's and said govt should design a prefect policy with an immediate effect to secure the future of youth by which we can dream for a secure state.
The block president who addressed the protestors includes Irshad Ahmed Bhatt, Khalid Malik, Shakoor Parwaz, Alyas Thakur, Ghulam Mustafa Khan and Ajaz Chowdhary.
