HM poster urges surrendered militants to join back | Gives 15 days for return of `trust' money | | Asif Iqbal Naik kishtwar, Aug 24: The Hizbul Mujahideen has proved its presence in Kishtwar with a difference this time. Two posters carrying similar message urged the surrendered militants to join back and pay money for the weapons handed over to security agencies after surrender or face the consequences. The poster also warned `unknown' persons to return the money received on behalf of the organization. This is the second time when they have been urged to pay the money. This time they have been given 15 days to clear the outstanding. Same message was conveyed through a poster on May 18 this year. "In case they fail to pay, we will disclose their names after the 15 day deadline", the poster warned. The posters were pasted on the Jamia Masjid wall and in the heart of the town at bus stand. The posters remained on display for two hours before police removed them. While addressing the members of the majority community, HM paid tributes to slain commander Amir Ali Kamal and his associate Mohammad Shafi Hajam. "We are hopeful that all our Muslim brothers will be alright and fine. We are making use of pen after a long time." The outfit tried to justify armed struggle by quoting some verses in Urdu. The blood of martyrs makes the land fertile . It urged the people to think over the matter. After suffering heavy losses in recent past in Chenab valley including Kishtwar district, HM requested the people of Kishtwar to help them in taking their mission forward--- the mission of waging war against India. "No matter how much Indian agencies try they will never succeed in oppressing our freedom struggle", the poster read. The poster claimed that Hizb had recruited many youths and was in need of money. Senior police officer in Kishtwar district remained tight lipped. Pertinent to mention the police is presently investigating circulation of hawala money in the district. Recently the police arrested one Tanveer Ahmed Genoo along with Rs. 3 lakh from Chingham Chatroo. An FIR No. 51 under unlawful activities Act and started its investigation which is still under progress. It is in place to mention here that slain Pakistani militant Arif Junaid alias Abu Maz of LeT had invested hawala money to the tune of Rs. 50 lakhs in various businesses in Kishtwar in the name of some influential businessman's and contractors. Meanwhile, BJP leader Sunil Sharma lambasted the security forces for their failure to check the growing activities of anti national elements in Kishtwar district. Sharma said that police have failed to arrest the culprits involved in recent anti national activities like hoisting of Pakistani flag, raising of pro Azadi and pro Pakistani slogans and anti national slogans. He demanded immediate action against the culprits bent upon contaminating the peaceful atmosphere of Kishtwar district. |
