Geelani's hate campaign force Bihari Muslims to flee
8/24/2012 11:51:39 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 24: Days after separatist leader Sayeed Ali Shah Geelani asked to throw away outsiders from the State, a labourer from Bihar was beaten in Shopian triggering migration from there. The locals not only protested against them but have even asked Bihari labourers-who incidentally are all Muslims- to vacate shops and residential houses.
Early this week police in Surankote area of Poonch had seized a book written by Geelani in which he had asked among other things to throw away Bihari labourers from the State saying while people of the State are unemployed they are eating into the economy of the State.
It was hateful campaign, just like the hate messages which resulted in mass migration of people from north-east from Mumbai and Bangalore. The result was soon on the ground.
According to reports, Azam Hussain (resident of Uttar Pradesh) was allegedly caught by a local for passing comments on a local school girl. It was trivial issue, which happens across the country, and for which he should have been booked under relevant section by the police.
But with people's mind toxicated by Geelani's hate campaign, that too against fellow Muslim brethren, he was not only brutally beaten, but it lead to protests against non-locals forcing them to migrate to other places.
It was the second incident of its kind in the last five-year. But it comes at a time when a campaign is being built in Srinagar against construction of road to the Holy Cave of Amarnath yatra.
The yatra has also been projected as some thing a definite plan by some 'vested' interests who want to change the demographic profile of the Kashmir. This toxication has made peoples' mind so much parochial and provincial that in the name of exclusivity-read only sunni Kashmiri elite-that even people of same religion are not only seen as outsiders but are seen with contempt and hate.
Separatist leader should not only be put behind the bars for his entire life time but steps should be taken to ensure that any leader using such language is not allowed to move freely except in Jail, as such people question the very hard reality of India being sovereign nation.
