| Kathua residents seek repair work of road | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, Aug 25: In order to get some repair work done, a deputation of ward no.2 led by Youth leader Sanjeev Verma met Executive officer Municipal Kathua here today.
E.O Harban Singh Municipal Council Kathua heard the deputation patiently and directed the incharge to take initiative towards construction of covers of underground drainage. The drainage which is constructed in the centre of the street from the house of Chajju Ram to the house of Sanjeev Verma has been lying in dilapidated condition for the last more than one month. He said that the underground drainage system has collapsed completely. But this has not been cleaned and repaired while the street is dilapidated and walking down is more of trouble. He said there is also street light is defunct since long.
The lack of maintenance has led to a complete breakdown of the underground drainage system and resulting to cause accidents, unhygienic condition. He also told that the dangerous snakes are entering into the houses of the residents and causing threat of snake bite. |
