| SPO hurt in accidental fire, dis-engaged | | | Early Times Report
katra, Aug 27: A special police officer (SPO) was dis-engaged after he got wounded in accidental fire at his residence here today.
SPO Pawan Kumar allegedly left Deva Mai Mandir police post, where he was posted, for home at Kun here without informing any of his colleagues. He was also carrying his weapon with him unauthorisedly.
Police sources said the gun went off accidentally at his residence in the afternoon, injuring him critically. He was undergoing treatment at the PHC, Katra. Police had registered a case in this connection.
Meanwhile, SSP (Reasi) Raghubir Singh said he had dis-engaged the SPO for leaving the police post with the weapon without permission. An inquiry had also been ordered into the incident, he added. |
