| Two women bootlegger among three held | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Aug 28: Kathua Police claimed to have arrested three bootleggers including two women for their alleged involvement in illicit liquor. Police has recovered 15 Lts. of (Desi) Illicit Liquor from the possession of women bootleggers and 20 nips of 250 (ML) JK Excise Liquor from his possession (for illegal sale). Police spokesperson stated that during patrolling at Chack Drab Khan apprehended two ladies namely Rano Devi w/o Late Sham Lal and Neelam Devi w/o Shama both the resident of Chak Drab Khan Kathua and recovered 15 Lts of (Desi) Illicit Liquor from their possession. "A case FIR No. 330/12, U/S 48-A Excise Act stands registered at PS Kathua against the arrested accused, spokesperson said. Police added in another case police party of anti gunda squared apprehended one person identified namely as Ajit Kumar S/o Gurdas Chand R/o Sampar Sapala Tehsil-District Kathua and recovered 20 Nips of 250 (ML) JK Excise Liquor from his possession (for illegal sale). A case FIR No. 331/2012 U/S 48-A Excise Act stands registered at PS Kathua in this case. |
