| NSF holds protest against non-declaration of results | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 28: Agitated over the lack of response from the Controller of Examinations (CoE)on the issue of non-declaration of results of the Department of Hindi 1st and 3rd Semester, large number of NSF activists shouting slogans gheraoed the office of CoE and turned violent when Controller and OSD Non-Professional were not present in their respective chambers.
They raised the slogan against Controller (who was not present in office) for non functioning of examination Wing as it has not come up with the result of exams which were held 9 months back. On the occasion, State Vice- president NSF Surjit Choudhary who led the students with other NSF activists alleged that the students would not be able to concentrate their studies because of the delay.
Surjit Choudhary further said that exams of MA Hindi 2nd and 4rdSemester, Mathematic 2nd and 4rd Semester, Sociology 2nd and 4rdSemester, English 2nd and 4rd Semester, Buddhist Studies 2nd and 4rd Semester, Chemistry 2nd and 4rd Semester, Dogri2nd and 4rd Semester, Economics 2nd and 4rdSemester, Pol.Sc 2nd and 4rd Semester, Commerce 2nd and 4rd Semester, Education2nd and 4rd Semester, Law Human Right, Urdu 4rd Semester, History 4rd Semester and many others were held in the month of April but so far the examination Wing has failed in coming with the result. He said that university is implementing the academic calendar but has failed in declaring the result as per the calendar. He said that it is easy to make academic calendar but to implement it, it needs proper management. He said that university has failed at all fronts in managing management properly. He added that examination calendar is being forcibly being followed by the university. He said that where syllabus of the students is not completed the exams are being taken. |
