NSUI holds protest against JU's 'anti-students' policies | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 28: In protest against alleged anti-students policies of Jammu University (JU), the National Students Union of India (NSUI) today held a demonstration on University campus here today. Led by National Delegate, NSUI Fairoz Khan and Jammu district Incharge NSUI and State General Secretary Ajay Kumar, the NSUI activists and students, who boycotted their classes, gathered at Fountain Plaza and staged a protest demonstration. The agitated students burnt the effigy of Vice Chancellor Jammu University and staged dharna in front of VC chamber for about two hours. Fairoz Khan NSUI National Delegate said that JU has framed the anti-students policies. He said that the time for filling the re-evaluation form which was fifteen days after the declaration of the result is now reduced to seven days only. He said that by reducing the days of submission, the students of far flung areas like Doda, Ramban, Kishtwar, Poonch and Rajouri cannot avail this facility as their marks card does not reach them in time. NSUI leader also criticized the marking policy of the University in case of re-evaluation has also changed as firstly it was best of two now they have changed it two mean of two. |
