Shiv Sena holds protest against CAPD for rotten ration | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 28: In protest against the alleged non-availability of ration, the Dogra Front and Shiv Sena Balasahib Thakeray took out a procession against Consumer Affairs and Public distribution Department (CAPD) from Rani Park to City Chowk Led by their president Ashok Gupta, the workers of the Dogra Front and Shiv Sena Balasahib Thakeray alleged that sugar and flour being supplied and distributed at Ration depots by the CAPD is rotten and not fit for human consumption adding that a dead rat was found in a 10 kg flour bag recently.The protesters said that the reason for rotten ration is bad storage conditions. The president Ashok Gupta on the telephone discussed the matter with the minister and demanded investigation that how much ration was decomposed by rain and who are the people which are responsible for the act.In further conversation, the president also demanded an investigation on dealers who are supplying the ration in their carriage vehicles and that how a lower level officer Dev Raj Assistant Director Food and Supply without the consent of the Director deputed the vehicles of the ration dealers for the supply of ration in Jammu city.Gupta demanded immediate termination of the officer who deputed the vehicles for the supply. Shiv Sena and Dogra Front President stated that if no action is taken against the dealers who are supplying the ration in their vehicles or the affiliated authority and if the black marketing of the ration is not stopped then Shiv Sena and Dogra Front is going to take action against the culprits. |
