| Governor lauds bravery of officers, of Ladakh Scouts jawans | | |

SRINAGAR, Aug 28: Col S. S. Patil, Commandant, Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre, called on N. N. Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan here today and briefed him about the evolution, history and glorious achievements of the valiant officers and men of this Regiment, the youngest in the Indian Army.
Col Patil briefed the Governor about the various programmes being organized as part of the Golden Jubilee Year Celebrations of this youngest Infantry Regiment of the Indian Army.
The Governor lauded the commitment and bravery of the officers and jawans of the Ladakh Scouts and recalled the numerous sacrifices made by them for safeguarding the territorial integrity of the country for which this Regiment has been conferred with many honours and awards. The Governor accepted Col Patil's request to participate in the Golden Jubilee Celebrations. |
