| Former NC Corporator assaulted | | | early times report
Jammu, Aug 28: A former National Conference Corporator was allegedly assaulted by the irate relatives of a girl who was allegedly abducted a few days ago from Partap Garh.
The police have registered a case of kidnapping in Pir Mitha Police Station. The former corporator, Rashida Begum went to the police station to express her support for the boy, Ajay Kumar who hails from her area.
Ajay, according to sources has married Rajni Mehra. After marriage, sources said, they returned to Ajay's residence where police nabbed them and took them to the police station.
Rashida reached the police station when relatives of the girl and boy had assembled there to sort out the matter. Her support for Ajay did not go well with the irate relatives of the girl. They pounced on her and gave her some blows.
The police intervened immediately to rescue her. |
