IMS organises CME in Jammu | | | Early Times Report Jammu , Aug 29 : A National CME attended by more than 100 doctors from various departments from GMC, ASCOMS & leading private practioners was held on topic "Simplifying Menopause Management" by Indian Menopause Society (IMS) Jammu Chapter under auspicious umbrella of IMS in collaboration with Jagsonpal Pharmaceuticals ltd. at Jammu. The session was chaired by Prof. Kamlesh Manhas(Head-Obs & Gyane, ASCOMS), Prof. Shashi Gupta (Head-Obs & Gyane, GMC, Jammu) & Prof. Sadhana Sharma (Head-Obs & Gyane, Adash Inst of medical sciences, Bathinda). Dr Sudhaa Sharma, Patron and Founder Secretary-IMS Jammu Chapter, highlighted the achievements of Jammu Chapter and as an investigator presented data of first Indian original multicentric research study conducted across the country, with one centre at Jammu, highlighting preventive effect of Lycopene on Cardiovascular and Osteoprotection in Menopause". National guest Dr Laxmi Ratna from Apollo Hospital Hyderabad, spoke on Significance of Lycopene at Menopause. Dr Jyoti Hak & Dr Anil Mehta also addressed on various issues of menopause. Dr Vishal R Tandon commented that it was an adequately powered Clinical Trial keeping all Ethics and Moral values in consideration. Dr Meeta Gupta delivered welcome address and Dr Chitra Janu conducted the proceedings of the meeting. |
