| Cable thief, drug peddler held | | |

Kathua, Aug 29: Kathua police has arrested two person for their involvement in drug peddling and stealing the telephone wire here in Kathua. Police spokesperson said that police party of P/S Kathua, during Naka Checking at Jarai Chowk apprehended one person and recovered 100 intoxicant (trade name Par-van-Spas) capsules from his possession. The accused has been identified as Makhan Lal S/O Maggar Ram of W-12 Kathua and a case against him under FIR No.333/2012 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Kathua.
Meanwhile Police Party of P/S Kathua arrested one person namely Shammi S/O Ram Lubaya of W-07 Kathua while stealing telephone cables. During interrogation of the said accused the police recovered 20 meters telephone cable wire from his possession.
A Case FIR No.332/2012 U/S 379/RPC stands registered at P/S Kathua against the arrested accused. |
