| BJP State Executive Meet at Udhampur from Aug 31 | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 29 : 2-day State Executive Committee Meet of BJP will be held at Udhampur on August 31 and September 1. This was disclosed here today by BJP J&K Chief Spokesperson and National Executive Member Dr. Jitendra Singh. In a brief for the media, Dr. Jitendra Singh said that the 2-day programme will commence on Friday morning with a meeting of party's state office bearers to be convened by State President Shamsher Singh Manhas and State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Koul and to be presided over by Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, party's prabhari (Incharge) of J&K.
The Executive Meeting will begin with a formal inauguration in the afternoon and spread over different sessions, the meeting will continue upto Saturday late afternoon, informed Dr. Jitendra Singh. The meeting is expected to be attended by over 150 participants from all over the state including senior party leaders, state office bearers, party MLAs, district and morcha presidents, convenors of different cells and State Executive Committee members. Besides holding session for reporting of the political and organizational activities at different levels including party's district units and cells, the 2-day meeting is also expected to take up resolutions on current political and security scenario of the state, he added.
The BJP Executive meeting will also take a stock of the various party programmes of the last three months undertaken after the last executive meeting, which includes massive membership drive carried out by the party across the state, he said. In addition, the executive members will deliberate and plan out party programmes for the near future depending on party's priorities in the context of the national and state political scene, Dr. Singh said. |
