| SRTC-VRS employees stage 'sit-in' protest outside Press Club | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 29: A large number of VRS/GHS employees of J&K SRTC today demonstrated and staged a 'sit-in' dharna at Exhibition Ground Opposite Press Club, Jammu under the leadership of Dev Raj Bali - President VRS Union and S.Surinder Singh General Secretary.
The protestors criticized the adamant attitude of the Finance Department of the J&K Govt. for not clearing our dues and J&K Govt. have played a big fraud with the VRS/GHS employees of the J&K SRTC as it was declared that one who takes the VRS/GHS whose dues will be cleared within 60 days but they are struggling for their pending dues for last three years but noting has been done in this regard. Speaking on the occasion the speakers urged the chief minister of state to direct the Finance Department for release of 126 pending installment Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) and benefits of 6th Pay Commission to 670 VRS/GHS who have been ignored. Balwinder Singh, D.N. Sharma, B.V. Sharma, Asan Elahi, Sain Mohd, Gulshan Singh, Surjit Singh, Jasbir Singh, Mohd Sharief also addressed the protestors. |
