He said LPG 1300 LPG Cylinders are being supplied to the consumer of Ramngar constituency by HPC and 300 by IOC every month. The present arrangement of supplying LPG may not be sufficient. But the union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India has already approved opening of a HPC Gas Agency in the area. With this arrangement the problems of LPG for Ramnagar will get solved to the greater extent. However, HPCL will be immediately asked to augment the supplies of LPG to the area and redress the shortages till permanent arrangements are made by way of opening of the agency”. Tarigami calls attention towards Hepatits-A, E Mr. M. Y. Tarigami today called attention of government towards an urgent public importance issue of deadly disease “HEPATITS-A, & HEPATITISE-E” in the villages and areas catered by PHE Division Kulgam. Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Mr. Mohammad Dilawar Mir in reply to the notice said that “no impure contaminated water is supplied to the inhabitants of different villages falling under the jurisdiction of Spl. PHE Division Kulgam. Most of the areas are either fed from spring sources or through schemes having filtration plants. However, some schemes are either without filtration plants or are having defunct plants and water to the areas falling under the scope of these schemes is supplied after proper dosage of chlorination through service reservoirs. Recently, one case of Hepatitis has been reported from village Tarigam which is definitely not attributable to the water supply. The said village falls under the ambit of water supply scheme “Bra-zloo-Buchroo” which has fully operational filtration plant and water is supplied after proper filtration and chlorination. The said scheme supplies water to four more villages namely Brazloo, Balsoo, Buchroo and Palgen in addition to village Tarigam, where from no such case has been reported”. He said that PHE schemes in rural areas which are without filtration plants are being fitted with this system in a phased manner.
