| Two bovine smugglers held, hunt for others | | |

Kathua, Aug 29: Police arrested two bovine smugglers while a massive manhunt is on to nab the absconding two who managed to give slip to slip naka in Karwah Bani in Kathua district.
Police said that police party arrested namely Arshad Ahmad S/O Ali Mohd R/O Basti Tehsil Bhaderwah District Doda (2) Arif Hussain S/O Jan Mohd R/O Barmota Tehsil Bani District Kathua and while had launched a massive hunt for other two persons who escaped from the spot leaving behind 13 Bovine animals.
Police said during intervening night of 28/29, a police party of PP Lowang acting on a specific information laid down a Naka at Kharwah Bani seized 13 Bovine Animals from the possession of four persons identified namely as Arshad Ahmad S/O Ali Mohd of Basti Bhaderwah-Doda; Arif Hussain S/O Jan Mohd of Barmota Bani; Ishaq Ahmad @ Billa S/O Mohd Younis of Sandroon Bani and Faqar Din S/O Mohd Yousaf of Sandroon Morha Bani .
Two of the accused were apprehended by police on the spot while two managed to escaped from the spot leaving behind 13 Bovine animals being taken from Bani towards Bhaderwah illegally on foot. Police has launched a man hunt to nab the accused. A case FIR No.34/2012 U/S 188 RPC stands registered at P/S Bani in this regard. |
