| All NPSU units intact, only Provincial Committee body to be re-formed | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 29: Chief Patron of National Panthers Students Union (NPSU) Prof Bhim Singh has clarified on the organizational set-up of NPSU in J&K that only a provincial committee of Jammu Pradesh is going to be reconstituted in couple of days giving broader representation to the students' community of all the districts of the Pradesh.
In a press statement issued today Prof Singh clarified that all the district units of NPSU as well as regional cells including Pahari Students Unit, ST/SC NPSU Unit stand intact. The NPSU units in Kashmir Valley as well as in Ladakh have been functioning regularly. It is for the information for all that the university NPSU units including Jammu Central University, Jammu University, Kashmir University, Mata Vaishno Devi University and other units of NPSU are autonomous and can only be dissolved by their respective local units, the statement said. It further warned the administration and the police officials to behave with NPSU activists with dignity and law of the land and added any aggressive attitude of the administration may result in serious consequences. He invited the students to participate in the membership campaign which shall start from 1st September, 2012. |
