Two militants reportedly escape from encounter site | | | Saahil Suhail kulgam, Aug 29: Ruling out security collapse in the encounter that broke out between militants and security forces in Briner Lamad, South Kashmir's Kulgam District, IG CRPF (OPS) BN Ramesh, who visited the encounter site after two militants reportedly escaped from the site, said that while working under such hostile circumstances keeping in view security of civilians immediate success not comes every time. "There was not any security collapse nor our encounter remained unsuccessful we are analyzing it, but the fact is that we are working under laws while militants have no rules and laws. So sometimes in encounters you may have no immediate success." IG CRPF, BN Ramesh said adding that we are making every effort to trace the militants. Reliable sources said that SOG Kulgam along with Army and CRPF launched a joint operation after getting information about the presence of militants in the area. During search operation launched by 9RR, SOG Kulgam and CRPF a contact was established with the militants who were reportedly two in number thus started fierce encounter. In the ensuing encounter that lasted for few hours militants managed to escape from the spot taking the advantage of paddy field and dense vegetation and undergrowth. Sources said that militants reportedly to be two in number escaped from the spot during the encounter which was started between security forces and militants in Briner Lamad area of South Kashmir's Kulgam district in the afternoon today. However, security forces have seized ammunition from the hideout of the militants. However, security forces have recovered some ammunition and have busted the newly constructed hide-out in the house in which militants reportedly stayed. |
