Petition seeking rotation of reserved wards in JMC

Jammu, Aug 30 (JNF) : In a petition challenging the reservation of Municipal Ward for Women, seeking direction that in terms of Section 10-A of J&K Municipal Corporation Act 2000, reservations is to be rotated. Justice Hasnain Massodi of J&K High Court Jammu Wing after hearing Adv BS Jamwal appearing for the petitioner disposed of the petition with the direction to respondents to accord considerations to petitioners of de-reservation for Ward No 44 Jammu Municipal Corporation in accordance with the Mandate of Section 10-A, so that the petitioner is in a position to contest election from the Ward No 44.
