PAPA mock at CBI investigations, acquittal of Minister | Medical entrance impersonation scam | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 30 : While addressing the associated members of the society in a routine meeting of the NGO, Deep Singh, President of "People's Action & Public Accountability" (PAPA), expressed the recent acquittal of former minister & NC leader in the impersonation scam of ASCOMS by CBI as quite astonishing and height of ignorance towards an admitted truth i.e. just 18 years kids of high profile persons have decided to manage a foul play in a sensitive issue against handsome payments without the knowledge and consent of their parents. Commenting further, Singh said that since the involvement of the former minister of the state, it was openly discussed everywhere that being a close associate of Union health minister, he will definitely get a clean chit of CBI and will be re-inducted in the state cabinet and it happened. Rather NC leader also came out as a beneficiary of the closeness of ex-Congress minister with Union health minister, he added. Number of cases is already being discussed at national level where central government is alleged for misuse of CBI for political motives and a fresh example in this regard is CBI's weak persuasion is being blamed for recent acquittal of BSP superemo Ms Maya Watti from Supreme Court in disproportionate assets case, he added. Repeated allegations have no doubt shacked the faith of a common Indian as on date towards the credibility of the premier agencies which is unfortunate. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's recent past statement to handover the Congress share portfolios was also noticed as an indication or a top quarter pressure of Congress he added. Now as usual, pressure will be built for re-induction of acquitted minister but will it be justified on ethical lines? Congress high command must think over this sensitive affair. |
