| Kidnapped girl recovered from Ladakh | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Aug 30 : Chatroo Police claimed to have recovered a 17 year old kidnapped girl from Ladakh nearly after four months since the registration of an FIR at police station Kishtwar. According to police, a team of Chatroo police led by PSI Ali Imran Butt under the supervision of SSP Kishtwar Bhim Sen Tutti, SDPO Chatroo Mushtaq Ahmed Sheikh and SHO Chatroo Farooq Ahmed Khateeb after getting a specific input about the presence of minor kidnapped girl in Leh area of Ladakh deputed a police team and recovered the girl and arrested the kidnapper. Police identified the kidnapper as 22 year old Abdul Rashid son of Ibrahim Gujjar resident of Malwar Chatroo while the kidnapped girl was identified as Maroofa Banoo daughter of Mohammad Ali Gujjar also resident of Malwar Chatroo. In this regard the FIR No: 33 U/S 363/109 RPC already stands registered.
The reports said that as soon as the team of the Chatroo police reaches Kishtwar, the girl will be sent to hospital for medical examination and later will be restored to the family members.
The father of the girl in his complaint claimed that his daughter was minor. Police will also produce the girl before CJM Kishtwar for recording her statement, and also conduct radiological test on her to ascertain her age. The local people of Chatroo hails the efforts of police. |
