NPSU demands policy of "One Man, One Post" in JU | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 31: National Panthers Students Union (NPSU) under the leadership of Varinder Singh, President NPSU, JU held a protest demonstration at Jammu University (JU) demanding the adoption of policy of "One Man, One Post". A large number of students, scholars and activists of NPSU took part in the protest. The protesting students said that in absence of "One Man, One Post" policy the student fraternity is suffering a lot. Interacting with media persons, Varinder Singh said that it is the long pending demand of students and scholars of University of Jammu that a single person should be assigned a single job adding that due to multiple assignments the officials fail to carry the smooth functioning which further results in pending the genuine works of the students. He said that many time when students from far flung areas come to university for some work they find the offices vacant, as the official remains busy in other assignments, this creates a lot of chaos. He said that due to multiple assignments there is no fix time of officers for visiting his/her office. Sometimes we have to approach a two to three offices to lodge our complaints, Varinder added. Warning the higher authorities, Thakur said that the policy of one man at one post be implemented without any further delay in letter and spirit otherwise NPSU will be forced to launch a massive protest against the administration. |
