Former Interlocutors make hay on day 2

Srinagar, Aug 31: Representing the Delhi Policy Group, two of the three former interlocutors of the Government of India on Jammu and Kashmir today met various delegations of political parties and civil society organizations to receive feedback on specific recommendations of the report prepared by them earlier.
A delegation of National Conference led by the Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs, Abdul Rahim Rather met veteran journalist Dalip Padgaonkar and academician Radha Kumar, and held a wide ranging discussion on issues related to the recommendations made in their report, which was presented to the then Union Home Minister last year, said an official press release.
Other members of the delegation that met the Delhi Policy Group representatives include the Minister for Industries and Commerce S. S. Slathia, former Minister Ch. Mohammad Ramzan, former Member Parliament Abdul Rashid Shaheen and Tanveer Sadiq. The duo, on a mission to receive feedback also met a delegation of the Congress Party and received feedback from them.
They also met members of the Panchyat Apex Committee, Pahari Forum and other delegations representing various civil society groups and organizations. Meanwhile, one of the interlocutors Radha Kumar told a local news agency about their `fruitful' interactions with various individuals and organizations while receiving feedback on the recommendations. "We have had good response after meeting people from different shades of opinion", she said. Regarding the concerns expressed by different quarters regarding implementation of their recommendations she said they will discuss the issue after reaching New Delhi. "As far as implementation of the report and its recommendations is concerned, we will talk about that when we prepare the report and submit to the home minister", she said. "We will do our job to our best ability and it is our duty to get feedback from everyone", she added. When asked whether there is any possibility of them meeting the separatist leaders, she said "We maintain that we are ready to meet the separatists whenever and wherever they wish".
