| Locals resenting low voltage, locked PDD office | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Sept 1: Locals and Bhartya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) activist today gheraoed and locked the employees including AEE PDD Kathua to register their resentment against low voltage of the power which allegedly is damaging their electrical gadgets. Residents drawn from Chack Desa Singh alongwith Bhartya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) protested against the PDD Kathua alleging for providing the double phase of power supply in the area. Led by BJYM District president Gopal Mahajan along with the hundreds of suffering people of the Chack Desa and made forcible entry in premises of PDD and shouted the slogan concerned department and then locked the main gate of the PDD premises and sat out side the premises on dharna. Meanwhile the PDD department assured the protestors that double phase would be done within two or three dyas so the protest was stopped by the protestors. In the protest Bramo Devi, Sunita, Shindu, Mangal Dass, Rajinder Singh, Bishamber Verma, Ramesh Mehra and Dr Jugal were present. |
