| RS Pura Refugees hail Cong for highlighting demands | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 1: Sarpanches, Panches and refugees of block RS Pura have hailed the delegation led by Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress President Prof Saifuddin Soz who met Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to find a solution to the problem of refugees living in the State. Those who accompany Soz include: Chairman Legislative Council, Amrit Malhotra; Member Parliament Madan Lal Sharma, Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla; Minister for Health, Horticulture and Floriculture, Sham Lal Sharma; Minister for Medical Education, Youth Services and Sports, RS Chib; MLC Ravinder Sharma; and Former Minister Manjeet Singh. It is notable that Soz, while addressing a public meeting at Vijaypur, had promised to get the problems of these refugees solved once for all. Addressing media persons in Jammu PCC leader, Badri Nath Sharma stated that the refugees of block RS Pura expresses heartfelt gratitude to Member Parliament Madan Lal Sharma for highlighting genuine demands of refugees at the central level and also insisting Prime Minister for one time settlement of their grievances.
Relevant to mention here that, the delegation had raked up this demand during its meeting with the central leadership which too sounded very positive to it. |
