| Senior Citizens Council holds meet | | |
Jammu Sept 1: Senior Citizen Welfare Council (J&K) held its meeting under the Presidentship of Smt Raj Sharma to observe the celebration of World Eldest Day scheduled on Oct 1. Members unanimously voiced out that the Central as well as State Govt. has least respect to the Elders who are the backbone of every Nation. "The Council has been crying out many programmes from the contribution of its Members but without any financial help from the Government or philanthropists nothing is possible and dreams get shattered before they are conceived, members underlined. The meeting was attended by a large number of Members prominent of which were Prof. Balraj Sharma, Madam Sarlu Kohli, Dr. Bhupinder Singh, O.P Verma, Keemti Lal Dubey, D.P Khajuria, S. N Kaul, S.
